At MSASA we offer a variety of eco stays that connect you with nature, from simple campsites under the Miombo woodland with shared facilities, to forest and cliff-top cabins overlooking Lake Malawi and the Manchewe Valley.
Guests can enjoy the comfort of a private villa, the charm of a treehouse-style Writer’s Cottage, or stay at our beachside campsite in Chitimba. Each space is unique, blending comfort, character, and wilderness.
Camping
Our campsites sit beneath the shade of the Miombo woodland, offering a simple yet unforgettable way to experience nature. Each site is set close to the forest and valley views, with shared bathroom facilities nearby. Guests can enjoy the basics, fresh air, open skies, and the sounds of the wild, while still having access to solar lighting and charging points and a dedicated camping kitchen. It’s camping that keeps you connected to the land, without losing comfort completely.
Our Cabins
Our cabins bring you closer to the forest and the cliffs. Built entirely with local materials, gumpoles, reeds, and grass thatch, they blend naturally into the Miombo landscape. Each cabin features a private deck with views across Lake Malawi, the Manchewe Valley, or the woodland. While bathrooms are shared, all cabins are fitted with electricity, lights, and a plug point powered by solar for basic charging. Inside, you’ll find comfortable beds and simple furnishings designed for rest after a day of adventure.
The Cottage
Our private cottage combines comfort with complete seclusion. Set apart from the main camp, it offers sweeping views of Lake Malawi and the Manchewe Valley. The cottage is fully self-contained, with its own bathroom, solar power, and simple but well-crafted furnishings. Designed for couples or small families, it’s a peaceful retreat where you can unwind in privacy while staying close to nature.
The Villa
Our villa is the most spacious and comfortable stay at MSASA, offering panoramic views across Lake Malawi and the distant mountains of Tanzania. With its own bathroom, solar power, and generous living space, the villa is designed for relaxation and ease. Quality furnishings and thoughtful touches make it a welcoming retreat, perfect for couples, families, or anyone wanting comfort without losing connection to the surrounding wilderness.
Writer's Cottage
Our Writer’s Cottage is a one-of-a-kind treehouse-style retreat set above the organic garden. Built from timber and raised among the trees, it overlooks the Manchewe Waterfall and forested valley. Fully self-contained with its own bathroom, solar power, and simple yet inspiring furnishings, it offers privacy and creativity in equal measure. This is a quiet hideout for those seeking reflection, writing, or just the peace of nature.
